And the youngest princess had a dream that she wanted to see the world outside.

　　人魚公主：I’d like to hear the beautiful sound of birds and to see the blue sky and white clouds.

　　海王：But you are too young, my daughter.

　　人魚公主：So when can I go out and have a look?

　　海王：When you turn 15 years old, you can go and see the life above the sea.

　　人魚公主：Oh, I can’t wait anymore!

　　旁白：Finally, it was the mermaid princess’ 15th birthday. She went up to the sea. The princess saw a great ship where standing a handsome prince.

　　人魚公主：He’s so handsome!

　　旁白：The princess fell in love with him at first sight. However, as thunder and lightning struck, the ship sank on its side, and the prince fell deep into the sea.

　　人魚公主：Oh, no! The prince fell into the water. Let me hurry and save him.

　　旁白：The princess saved the prince and took care of him all night. It was dawn. The princess had to leave with the prince lying on the sand. Just then, another princess from a neighbor land came over and saw the prince. The prince thought he was saved by the girl he had seen. The mermaid princess was very sad. She wanted to become a human so that she could be with the prince forever. She went to the witch.

　　人魚公主：I want to be a human. Could you help me?

　　巫師：Okay, I will make you into a human, but you must give me your beautiful voice in return.

　　人魚公主：OK, I promise you.

　　巫師：But you must marry the prince. If the prince marries someone else, you will become a water bubble.

　　旁白：The princess nodded her head and drank the medicine that the witch had given her. With the big sudden pain, she turned into a human. Just then, the prince who came out to the sea saw the princess. He took the princess, who could not speak, to his palace. Although she could not speak, she was happy to be with the prince. The prince was going to get married to the princess from the neighbor land.

　　王子：I will marry the princess that saved my life.

　　人魚公主：I am the one that saved your life.

　　旁白：But, her voice could not be heard. At night, the mermaid princess’ elder sisters came up to the sea. They wanted to help the mermaid and gave her a knife.

　　姐姐：If you stab the prince with this knife, you can be a mermaid again, otherwise, you will become a water bubble.

　　人魚公主：I can’t do it. I love him. I don’t want to hurt him.

　　旁白：When morning came, the mermaid turned into a water bubble and faded away
